The Allen-Bradley 1747-WINBAS is a SLC 500 BASIC Module Interface Software. This BASIC Module Interface Software is compatible with Windows.
The 1747-WINBAS is a BASIC Interface Software for Windows from Allen Bradley. It is terminal emulation software that is made to provide access to a Rockwell Automation module. The software makes it simple for the operator to download and upload BASIC module programs, as well as backup and restore module images. The program also has debugging tools to assist in troubleshooting BASIC programs. The BASIC emulation program requires a DH-485 interface or an RS-232 serial COM port. Connecting to a DH-485 network from another network is not allowed. The software is compatible with computers running on Windows 98, NT, 2000, and XP.
The 1747-WINBAS comes with two CDs; the first one is the actual 1747-WINBAS installer, while the other CD contains an RSLinx Classic OEM version, which is optional. It allows communication to the software through the DH-485 port; to install the 1747-WINBAS on a personal computer, insert the installer CD into the CD drive and then follow the instructions on the screen. If connecting to the BAS module via the DH-485 port, install the RSLinx Classic OEM. To install the RSLinx Classic OEM program, just insert the second CD into the CD drive and follow the instructions. At the top of the screen, the menus will be visible. These are File, View, Tools, and Help. Going through the menus is simple, and the program is user-friendly. The software comes with a manual that will explain all the commands needed to communicate with the BASIC module.
