The Allen-Bradley 1747-M15 is a memory adapter that is used for commercial PROM programmers. This allows it to program and erase memory modules when needed. It is commonly used to ensure that the memory module will fit into the adapter socket. The adapter socket then fits the zero-insertion-force (ZIF) socket to the PROM burner. The 1747-M15 is an SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04, and SLC 5/05 Adapter Socket for the 1747-M13 memory module. The memory adapter weighs 2 lbs and has a 6" x 6" x 3"In dimension. It is a programmable read-only memory card type with a 64 KB memory size. The memory module has a 32 - 140 degrees Fahrenheit temperature rating. Make sure that when handling the 1747-M15 that it gets the proper grounding precautions. This is due to the memory adapter's sensitivity to electrostatic discharge.
